Big things are happening at Tatum Ranch! We’re thrilled to share that Bryce has taken the first big step toward building his very own herd of goats. Watching his passion for animal husbandry grow has been one of the greatest joys of our lives, and seeing this dream come to life for him is truly inspiring.
The arrival of the goats was a family affair. Bryce didn’t take this journey alone—his brother, Trevor, and their father, Dwight, spent the day by his side, helping him prepare everything his new herd would need. Together, they worked tirelessly to set up shelters, reinforce fencing, and ensure there was plenty of fresh bedding to keep the goats comfortable and safe.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there! Four of the goats are expecting to kid any day now, which means Bryce’s herd is about to grow even more. The anticipation of welcoming new life to the farm has everyone buzzing with excitement. Watching Bryce prepare for the births has been a joy—he’s researched everything from care for the does during labor to creating a safe, cozy space for the kids once they arrive.
This wasn’t just about hard work; it was a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and pride as the three of them turned Bryce’s vision into reality. Seeing Bryce introduce the goats to their new space, you could tell this was the beginning of something truly special. Moments like these remind us why we chose this life—building something meaningful as a family and passing down values of care, responsibility, and love for the land and its animals.
These goats, and soon their kids, mark the beginning of a wonderful journey. Bryce’s herd is more than just a collection of animals; it’s a symbol of his dedication and a step toward creating something truly his own. We can’t wait to see how he continues to grow as a farmer, caring for his herd and adding his own chapter to the story of Tatum Ranch.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us! Stay tuned for updates, including names, photos, and, of course, the big news when the kids make their debut.
